Hoover - WORST MISTAKE EVER
PART NUMBER CORRECTION - WITH THE DIAGRAM TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE THE PART IN QUESTION IS NUMBER 1 - PICTURED WHERE THE HANDLE GOES INTO THE TOP OF IT
Purchased 2 Hooover UH72450 Air Pro vacuums January 2017 (1 for my son) Recently the connection from the "Handle Wand" Part A of the assembly broke where the handle connects to it at the top. Should be a simple fix of getting a replacement Handle/Wand Assembly Part # H-44000**** (as I found the part number myself) and switching them out.
Call Hoover at their 800 number to be told that I have to take the entire vacuum to the ONLY service center in my city (across the city) to have them determine how to "repair" it and maybe if I talk to them they might even just send me on" As I explained to them SEVERAL times, this is a MOVING PART intended to be removed to attach the assorted accessories to and/or just to use the hose to clean edges etc.......thus there should be NO LIABILITY issue(s) sending me the damn part.............CAN'T do that.....must call this service center.............Call this service center to be told I have to bring the vacuum, and receipt to them..........give them a $50 deposit (in case its not under warranty - less than 1.5 years into a 5 year warranty) and it will be a minimum of 10 days!!!!! At this point, I reexplained that this is a 30 second fix and I just need the wand replaced - 10+ days is ridiculous, I have an infant grandchild, 2 persians and carpet that isn't going to wait weeks to be vacuumed.............whilst in this conversation I find the part number and give it to him - he then mutters something and says will call be back after checking something(s). I have NEVER bought anything HOOVER previously and WILL NEVER do it again based on this experience. I had even recommended this to people...............I APOLOGIZE AND TAKE IT BACK!!!!!
Got the call back - he doesn't have this part in stock and has to have the vacuum, receipt and deposit to order it "under a claim" otherwise I will have to pay for it - then it will take 10-12 business days to get here!!!!!! Part number 2 in the diagram on the link provided below
